If you have a NAD 5425 CD player that suddenly dies or has a defective display i.e. you can’t see anything then don’t worry. It’s usually the small bulb on the printed circuit board used as a back light for the display. It dies and often blows one or both fuses in the power supply.
That’s what happened to mine and I found the site below that gives very detailed information about changing the bulb for an LED. Please do NOT try this repair unless you can solder and are used to taking out circuit boards etc.
